We hatch year round, and ship throughout the United States. Chicks are hatched and sent the same day. We ship only day old chicks. Shipments are sent priority mail through the United States Postal Service, and are generally to your post office within 2-3 days of the hatch date.*
*Some restrictions apply. Minimums are set to help ensure the birds stay warm and prevent them from shifting around throughout the shipping process.Please note that each type of fowl ordered has their own minimums, and different types of fowl CANNOT be combined to meet those minimums. However, you CAN usually combine different breeds within each type of fowl to meet the minimum requirements. For example: You can order 5 Barred Rock Chicks and 20 Red Sexlink Chicks to meet the minimum of 25 chickens. However, you cannot order 10 Barred Rock Chicks and 15 Pheasants to meet the minimum because you are now shipping two different types of Fowl. Give us a call for details. All pullets and straight run must be ordered in a quantity of 5 or more (except for geese which is 4 or more). Males may be ordered less than 5, however, there is a $1.50 fee per breed for ordering less than 5 males. Must still meet the minimum order quantity above in the shipment. Payment terms-MasterCard, Visa, and Discover credit cards are accepted. When initially placing your first order or with a new credit card, you must have at least $1 credit balance on your card for us to set up your credit card account. This $1 credit is released without actually billing to your account, it just confirms to our system that it is a valid account. Your card will be authorized the Friday before the order ships out for the actual amount of the order. All Money Order payments must be received prior to shipment. *Please note...if you are using someone else's credit card, we will need to speak to the card holder prior to placing the order.
Our responsibility - We breed as close to the American Standard of Perfection as possible, but do not guarantee show quality. We will provide you with healthy, quality chicks. Live delivery is guaranteed. We often put extra chicks in the boxes, so be sure to count your live chicks. We will not replace extra chicks. Your responsibility - To start and care for your chicks as we have specified. For arrival guarantee, please phone us immediately if you have any problems when the chicks arrive. Should you have any that are dead on arrival (DOA), please take pictures of the dead chicks to submit as proof of DOA's when requesting a refund or replacement. We must be notified within 48 hours after arrival or we cannot issue a credit or send replacement-no exceptions. We don't offer refunds for turkeys, but we will ship you replacements free of charge. Call us at 1-800-458-4473. Layer chick orders of 100 or more or Broiler orders of 500 or more need to be canceled at least two weeks before their hatch date or they are subject to a cancellation fee.
