Ancona - Straight Run

Anconas are white egg layers that are very quick and alert. The breed originates from Italy/England. They are the same size or a little heavier than Leghorns. These birds are active foragers and do well in free-range situations. Anconas are very bright and snappy looking with their black and white patches as babies. They have lustrous, black plumage with white tips on some feathers when mature. Typically, females weigh 4 lbs. and males weigh 5.5 lbs.
