Blue Andalusians are good white egg layers that originate from Spain. They are heat tolerant, active and thrive in free-range environments. Half will be all blue and the rest will be a black-white mixture for babies. Mature birds have delicate blue-laced plumage. Feathers are slate blue with narrow lacing of dark blue. Males have a cape of blue-black, sometimes shading to a dove-gray. Their feathers makes good fish fly ties. The typical weight for females is 4.5 lbs. and for males is 5.5 lbs.
