Brahma - Buff - Female

Buff Brahmas are brown egg layers and dual-purpose. The breed originates from India. They are both cold hardy and heat tolerant. Birds have a docile, gentle temperament, are friendly and can be broody. They grow at a relatively slow rate, are not a good choice for producing broiler meat and resemble the Light Brahma. They are black and gold as babies. When mature they have a golden buff body with a black tail and laced hackles. The breed has pea combs and fully feathered shanks and toes. Females typically weigh 9.5 lbs. and males typically weigh 12 lbs.
