Wyandotte - Blue - Female

Blue Wyandottes are docile and good producers of brown eggs that are slightly smaller than those produced by some of the more popular breeds. The breed is of American origin. These dual-purpose birds are active, hardy, self-reliant and broody. Hens are short, deep, wide-bodied and medium weight. Their plumage is uniformly salty blue, laced with bluish-black. Babies are blue with creamy white chests. Females typically weigh 6.5 lbs. and males typically weigh 8.5 lbs.
