Broad Breasted Turkey - Bronze - Straight Run

Broad Breasted Bronze Turkeys are great when it comes to meat production. These birds grow very large and have been bred to have larger breasts. Due to their size, they will not produce naturally. Babies are brown striped with a white underneath. Mature birds have a metallic sheen. The feathers change from copper to bronze to burnished-gold as the light moves across them. They are four feet in length and six feet from wing tip to wing tip. At 14 to 20 weeks, females weigh 14-20 lbs. At 20-24 weeks, males weigh 30-40 lbs.
