Description
Copper Marans lay dark brown eggs. Females are dark gray and males are dark gray with an orange neck. Babies have white chests with a dark gray body and black head. They are cold hardy and good for free-range farming. Females typically weigh 4.5 lbs. and males typically weigh 6 lbs.

black copper maran chicks
I have been ordering chicks for 15 years from various hatcheries. This year was challenging to find the varieties I wanted and I stumbled upon the Welp Hatchery website.
Not only did they have the varieties I wanted, the chicks arrived in excellent condition. These chicks were the healthiest birds I have ever ordered and have all grown up to be healthy hens. I will definitely use this hatchery again!!
